As part of the GPISD Read Across the Prairie Reading Promotion, each school received an unfinished rocking chair for the library.  It is at the discretion of the campus to decorate their chair as they wish. 

South Grand Prairie 9th Grade Center's chair was created by Ross Edgerley, a local artist, by burning the Warrior images and symbols into the wood.
